Summer Program Lead Teacher

We are seeking applications for a Lead Teacher/Supervisor for our 2022 Summer Program.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the school principal, the Summer Program Lead Teacher/Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision and operations of the school-age summer care program. Duties include the supervision and evaluation of program staff, development of daily lesson plans, implementation and monitoring of program activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide planning in the area of School-Age Care including:

  • Follow appropriate program policies and procedures -
  • Fosters positive relationships with staff, children, families, school personnel, and the community.
  • Coordinate onsite programming.
  • Interact with children on a daily basis.
  • Maintain a safe and age-appropriate environment for all children.

2. Management of program:

  • Managing and evaluating staff.
  • Assist in hiring, ongoing orientation and evaluation of staff.
  • Provide ongoing communications with parents via phone, and email.
  • Manage inventory of supplies.

3. Share results of program successes and areas for improvement.

4. Maintain various files, records, and reports, both electronically and on paper including attendance, medication, accident, behavior, etc.

Qualifications:

* Experience working with school-age children (ages 5-12).

* Effective interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.

* Proficient computer skills; effective use of Google Suite (including docs, sheets) and email, required.

* Experience in supervision and coordination of staff.

* Willingness to adapt rapidly and effectively change to meet program needs.

* Willingness to become First Aid and CPR certified.

* Ability to work flexible hours, prioritize work and office organizational functions.

* Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Summer Care Program Assistant

We are seeking applications for full or part-time Summer Program Assistants.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Summer Program Director, Assistants will be responsible for the supervision of children within the program and the implementation of programs undertaken by the Lead Teacher.
