Full Time Custodian

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Full-Time School and Church Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. This role is vital in ensuring a welcoming, sanitary environment for students, staff, congregation members, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in janitorial and custodial services, with a strong focus on facility maintenance and cleaning standards. Duties

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across school and church premises
• Conduct detailed floor care such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance
• Operate commercial cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently to ensure all areas are hygienic and presentable
• Maintain restrooms by disinfecting fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring proper sanitation
• Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting, and facility upkeep
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during cleaning activities to prevent accidents or hazards
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishments are needed
• Support special event setups or cleanups as required within the school or church facilities
• Some mowing and snow removal duties are also included.
• Boiler operation and maintenance

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and availability for full-time hours; flexibility to work early mornings or evenings if needed

• Experience in janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance roles is helpful; experience with floor care such as buffing is highly desirable
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and industrial cleaning equipment is helpful
